**Egyptologist reacts angrily and adopts the wrong tone**
The Egyptologist and Director of the French Archaeological Institute in Cairo (IFAO), Pierre Tallet, has expressed his displeasure about a press release sent by Taiweb.de, dated August 20, 2024, in a personal email in a highly inappropriate and impolite manner.
Tallet, who is probably known to many for the discovery (and highly dubious interpretation) of the Wadi al-Jarf papyrus, has persistently ignored calls to engage in a factual and respectful discussion ever since.
Tallet and all Egyptologists concerned are therefore once again expressly called upon to face up to the challenge, to acknowledge the facts already presented and to stop blocking the creation of new knowledge regarding the history of the Ancient Egyptian Old Kingdom with selfish and narrow-minded motives!
