#EgyptianGovernmentMustAct**
For many years, the Egyptian government has been allowing two of the most significant sites in Egyptian history to decay recklessly in a military-restricted area in Zawiyet el-Aryan. The cause of this irresponsible neglect of important testimonies of a once glorious past is, in addition to the indifference of the Egyptian government, primarily the failure of Egyptology to recognize the true value of these two sites for Egyptian history.
#ProtectImhotep
The Step Mastaba located there, mistakenly known as Layer Pyramid, is proven to be the tomb of the legendary architect and mastermind Imhotep, who died around 13 years before Huni, and whose visions led Egypt from the beginning of the 4th Dynasty into an era of prosperity and stability, as well as a golden age of art, architecture, and trade. Instead of carrying out preservation measures on his Step Mastaba, it has long been left to itself and the forces of nature.
#ProtectShu
While, the structure located about 1 km further north, wrongly identified by researchers as an unfinished pyramid and also wrongly attributed to a king named Baka/Bicheris, is proven to be the once fully completed representation of the god of light and air, Shu. The structure therefore features the architectural peculiarity of a deep lion pit and has long been disrespectfully used as a garbage dump by the local settlements. The complex is part of seven other monumental structures in Meidum, Dahshur, Giza, and Abu Rawash, which represent the deities of the Ennead of Heliopolis, and whose completion or construction was initiated by the greatest builder in Egyptian history, King Sneferu.
#SaveEgyptianHeritage
I therefore urgently call on the Egyptian government to act immediately! Relocate the restricted area and take all necessary measures to protect and preserve these historical and sacred sites. It is essential that these sites are valued and made accessible to the public in the future, just like all others, so that they can retain their cultural and historical significance.
The world is watching! Do not let these treasures of humanity be lost due to indifference and scientific failure. Act now, before it is too late!
